CATHAY PAC AIR (00293) announced its full-year financial performance for 2025, with the group achieving a profit of HK$116.766 billion, an increase of 11.88% year-on-year; Jiangxi Guotai Group's shareholders' attributable profit was HK$10.828 billion, an increase of 9.51% year-on-year; with basic earnings per share of HK$1.655. The company is planning to distribute a second interim dividend of HK$0.64 per ordinary share for the year ending December 31, 2025.
The announcement stated that Jiangxi Guotai Group (including airlines, subsidiaries, and affiliates) recorded an attributable profit of HK$10.828 billion in 2025 (compared to HK$9.888 billion in 2024). Earnings per ordinary share for 2025 were HK$1.655 (compared to HK$1.492 in 2024). The financial performance growth was driven by increased cargo capacity, stable passenger volume, and strong freight demand, although some of the increase was offset by normalization of passenger revenue due to Hong Kong Express and losses incurred.
The group's airlines and subsidiaries recorded an attributable profit of HK$9.996 billion in 2025 (compared to HK$8.849 billion in 2024). Net performance from affiliates (mostly confirmed with a 3-month delay) contributed a full-year profit of HK$447 million (compared to HK$288 million in 2024). The 2025 attributable profit includes a non-recurring profit of approximately HK$878 million resulting from a settlement agreement with Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO) regarding the aircraft parts management joint venture, which is included in other income.
