On February 27, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council issued an announcement adjusting the additional tariffs on certain imported goods originating from Canada.
On February 27th, the State Council Customs Tariff Commission issued a notice to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of China and Canada. In accordance with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China such as the Customs Law, the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, as well as the basic principles of international law, adjustments were made to the additional tariffs imposed on some imported goods originating from Canada. From March 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026, adjustments were made to the additional tariffs imposed on certain imported goods originating from Canada, excluding the 100% tariff on oilcake and peas imported from Canada, as well as the 25% tariffs on lobster and crab imported from Canada.
