Jl Mag Rare-Earth (06680) has risen by over 6%, up 6.11% to HKD 25.34 as of press time, with a turnover of HKD 154 million. On the news front, rare earths have been rising in recent times due to supply and demand dynamics. Quotes from the Baotou Rare Earth Products Exchange show that as of February 26, the average price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide was 88,610 yuan/ton, up by 320 yuan/ton; the average price of metal praseodymium-neodymium was 108,100 yuan/ton, up by 1,150 yuan/ton. In addition, the China Minmetals Chemicals Import and Export Chamber of Commerce has issued a notice stating that a conference on rare earths and rare metals export policies and outlook will be held on March 25, 2026. Guotou Securities pointed out that rare earths, as key strategic resources for new energy and high-end manufacturing, currently exhibit significant supply-demand mismatch: global rare earth separation and smelting capacity is highly concentrated in China; coupled with tightened domestic quotas at all levels, supply rigidity is evident; expanding downstream demand drives up the use of neodymium-iron-boron, boosting the price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide. This round of policy-driven price increases has solid support.
