The Hong Kong Airport Authority stated that they will continue to strive for more new civil aviation agreements and expand air rights. The Airport Authority is cooperating with the Hong Kong government in actively expanding the aviation network to consolidate Hong Kong's status as an international aviation hub. The financial budget of Hong Kong mentioned that the departure facilities of Terminal 2 will be operational in May, significantly increasing airport capacity. The Airport Authority will continue to enhance seamless transfer services between Hong Kong and other Greater Bay Area cities through projects such as "Fly Through the Pearl River Delta," attracting more passengers from mainland China to travel to various destinations around the world via Hong Kong International Airport. The Airport Authority stated that in order to consolidate the advantage of Hong Kong International Airport as the world's busiest cargo airport, they will continue to strengthen the role of Hong Kong International Airport as a leading international gateway in the Greater Bay Area, including expanding the Hong Kong International Airport Dongguan Air Cargo Center, with the goal of completing the first phase of permanent facilities within this year. The Airport Authority is advancing the SKYTOPIA Airport City Development Plan, which includes the second phase of the AsiaWorld-Expo that started construction last year, a yacht marina, and an art storage facility. The Airport Authority will also extend unmanned driving technology, which has been used in restricted areas for many years, to non-restricted areas within the airport this year, with unmanned buses transporting passengers via the "AeroSky Corridor" to the Hong Kong Port of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Airport Island, establishing the first public autonomous transportation system in Hong Kong. The Airport Authority pointed out that in order to support Hong Kong's development as the first aircraft parts handling and trading center in Asia, the Airport Authority and the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy will further collaborate with different institutions to nurture professional talent, including launching a series of professional courses on aircraft maintenance and parts handling and certification with leading international aviation service companies. At the same time, the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy will also jointly offer a new Master's program in Aviation Management with the Chinese University of Hong Kong this year.
