National Energy Administration: This year's Spring Festival holiday saw a record high number of trips made by new energy vehicles, with a significant improvement in the level of charging service guarantee.

In order to strengthen the charging service guarantee for new energy vehicles on the highways during the Spring Festival holiday, the National Energy Administration has organized relevant parties to use information platforms to enhance monitoring, guide localities to strengthen pre-holiday inspections, holiday duty shifts, and charging guidance, and to increase the allocation of mobile charging equipment, effectively ensuring the charging needs of new energy vehicles for large-scale travel during this year's Spring Festival holiday. By analyzing the statistics of 53,300 highway charging piles included in the national charging facility monitoring service platform, from the lunar 28th day (February 15th) to the 7th day of the lunar new year (February 23rd), the total number of electric vehicle charges on the highways reached 6.021 million times, with a total charging capacity of 149.7675 million kilowatt hours. The daily average charging capacity was 1.66408 million kilowatt hours, an increase of 52.01% compared to the daily average during last year's Spring Festival, reaching a historical high. Localities have actively deployed various measures, and the service guarantee capacity for new energy vehicles charging during the Spring Festival holiday has been further improved. Next, the National Energy Administration, together with relevant parties, will further implement the work requirements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, promote the implementation of the "three-year doubling" action plan for the service capacity of electric vehicle charging facilities, strengthen the construction of charging infrastructure, continuously improve the service capacity of charging facilities at highway service areas, and ensure the charging needs for new energy vehicles during major holidays.
