The State Administration of Foreign Exchange released data on the trading overview of the Chinese foreign exchange market in December 2025. According to statistics from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, in December 2025, the total turnover of the Chinese foreign exchange market (excluding foreign exchange market, the same below) was 28.17 trillion yuan (equivalent to 3.99 trillion US dollars). Among them, the turnover of the bank-to-customer market was 4.78 trillion yuan (equivalent to 0.68 trillion US dollars), and the interbank market turnover was 23.39 trillion yuan (equivalent to 3.31 trillion US dollars); spot market cumulative turnover was 10.44 trillion yuan (equivalent to 1.48 trillion US dollars), and derivatives market cumulative turnover was 17.73 trillion yuan (equivalent to 2.51 trillion US dollars). From January to December 2025, the cumulative turnover of the Chinese foreign exchange market was 304.57 trillion yuan (equivalent to 42.64 trillion US dollars).
