On January 30, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the operational situation of the electronic information manufacturing industry in 2025. In 2025, the value added of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 10.6% year-on-year, with growth rates 4.7 and 1.2 percentage points higher than the industrial and high-tech manufacturing industries for the same period, respectively. In December, the value added of the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size increased by 11.8% year-on-year. Among the main products, the production of mobile phones was 1.54 billion units, a year-on-year decrease of 5.8%, with smart phone production at 1.27 billion units, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%; production of microcomputing equipment was 332 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 2.9%; and production of integrated circuits was 484.3 billion units, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%.
