The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) held a symposium for entrepreneurs in the photovoltaic industry, requiring a resolute elimination of industry's "internal competition" spiral.
The photovoltaic industry association should actively fulfill its functions, carry out industry self-discipline in accordance with the law and regulations, innovate ways and methods, and resolutely eliminate the "insider competition" in the industry.
On the afternoon of January 28th, Li Lecheng, Secretary of the Party Group and Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, presided over a symposium with entrepreneurs in the photovoltaic industry to thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, listen to the opinions and suggestions of key enterprises and industry associations on the "anti-inward spiral" work, and discuss the deployment of promoting governance in the photovoltaic industry. Vice Minister Xiong Jijun attended the meeting.
The meeting emphasized that under the current situation, "anti-inward spiral" is the main contradiction in the standardized governance of the photovoltaic industry. All departments should strengthen coordination, work in the same direction, comprehensively use means such as capacity regulation, standard guidance, quality supervision, price enforcement, prevention of monopoly risks, protection of intellectual property rights, and promotion of technological progress, to jointly promote the photovoltaic industry to return to a track of benign competition and rational development through market-oriented and legal means. The photovoltaic industry association should actively perform its functions, promote industry self-discipline in accordance with the law and regulations, innovate ways and methods, and resolutely eliminate the "inward spiral" competition in the industry.
Officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Administration for Market Regulation, as well as leaders of key enterprises in the photovoltaic industry and the photovoltaic industry association, participated in the meeting.
