In the third quarter of 2025, the server market revenue reached a record high of 112.4 billion U.S. dollars, a staggering increase of 61% year-on-year. Among them, Lenovo Group (00992) has made a steady performance and entered the top three camps in the global server market.
Recently, the "Global Server Market Quarterly Tracking Report" released by IDC shows that the server market revenue reached a record high of $112.4 billion in the third quarter of 2025, a sharp increase of 61% year-on-year, once again achieving a double-digit high growth rate. Among them, LENOVO GROUP (00992) has made it into the top three in the global server market with solid performance, showing significant competitive advantages in core indicators: revenue growth of 26.1% year-on-year, leading in growth rate among top companies, tied with Inspur Technology for the third in the market, becoming one of the core driving forces of growth in the global server market. Amid intensifying competition in the global server market, Lenovo's rapid growth is worthy of attention. IDC data shows that in this quarter, leading companies in the global server market, including AMD (decrease by 13.2% year-on-year), Inspur (decrease by 10.5% year-on-year), and Huawei (decrease by 2.3% year-on-year), all experienced varying degrees of revenue decline, while Lenovo achieved a 26.1% year-on-year growth through deep technical cultivation in the AI server field and a diversified product matrix, consolidating its market position in the top three globally with $4.004 billion in revenue and a 3.6% market share. In the third quarter of 2025, x86 server revenue increased by 32.8% year-on-year to $76.3 billion; non-x86 server revenue surged by 192.7% year-on-year to $36.2 billion. In the third quarter of 2025, embedded GPU server revenue increased by 49.4% year-on-year, accounting for more than half of the total server market revenue. Rapid adoption of embedded GPU servers by hyperscale data center operators and cloud service providers has driven the growth of the server market - in the first three quarters of 2025, global server market revenue reached $314.2 billion, nearly doubling compared to 2024. IDC predicts that with major manufacturers continuing to report record orders and strong backlogged orders, the adoption of AI will continue to maintain astonishing growth rates. Hyperscale computing companies and cloud service providers are still advancing new large-scale deployment projects that require much higher computing density. In addition, we are beginning to see some important AI-based research and education projects that will help drive further market growth." The United States is the fastest-growing region in the server market, with a growth of 79.1% compared to the third quarter of 2024, mainly due to the sharp increase of 105.5% in accelerated server submarkets; driven by the same factor, the Canadian market grew by 69.8%. In the third quarter of 2025, the Chinese market grew by 37.6% year-on-year, accounting for nearly one-fifth of the global quarterly total revenue. The Asia-Pacific region (excluding Japan), Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and the Japanese market all achieved healthy double-digit growth, with year-on-year increases of 37.4%, 31.0%, and 28.1% respectively; while the Latin American market grew slowly, achieving only 4.1% growth in this quarter.
