Hong Kong Monetary Authority: The overseas assets of Hong Kong's foreign exchange funds increased to HK$353.8 billion in November.
On December 12, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority released the main analysis of the foreign exchange funds as of the end of November 2025.
On December 12th, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority published the primary analysis accounts of the Exchange Fund at the end of November 2025. In November, the overseas assets of the Hong Kong Exchange Fund increased by HK$28.9 billion, to HK$3,538 billion.
The monetary base was HK$2,032.2 billion, including certificates of indebtedness, circulating banknotes and coins issued by the Hong Kong government, balances in the banking system, and issued Exchange Fund bills and bonds.
The total amount of claims on the private sector in Hong Kong by the Exchange Fund was HK$313.6 billion. The total external liabilities amounted to HK$35.8 billion.
