The Hong Kong Tourism Board announced that in October, the number of visitors to Hong Kong was approximately 4.6 million, an increase of 12% compared to the same period last year. Among them, mainland Chinese visitors accounted for about 3.452 million, or about 75%, an increase of 10% year-on-year; non-mainland Chinese visitors were about 1.136 million, an increase of 19% year-on-year. Cumulatively, from January to October this year, there were approximately 41 million visitors to Hong Kong, an increase of 12% year-on-year. Mainland Chinese visitors accounted for about 31.44 million, an increase of 11% year-on-year; non-mainland Chinese visitors were about 9.62 million, an increase of 16%, with better performances from Taiwan, Australia, and the Middle East regions.
