MMG (01208) rose by over 7% in the closing session, rising by 6.86% to 7.01 Hong Kong dollars as of the time of reporting, with a turnover of 452 million Hong Kong dollars. On the news front, MMG previously announced that in the third quarter of 2025, the total copper production was 127,030 tons, an 11% year-on-year increase; and the total zinc production was 58,747 tons, a 26% year-on-year increase. The production in the first half of the year at the Las Bambas mine has already made it the fifth largest copper mine globally. In the third quarter, the mine produced copper concentrate containing 102,875 tons of copper, a 14% increase compared to the same period in 2024, continuing the strong production momentum from the second quarter. China International Capital Corporation released a research report stating that MMG's copper and zinc production in the third quarter of 2025 increased by 11% and 26%, respectively, compared to the same period last year, mainly due to the strong performance of the Las Bambas, Kinsevere, and Dugald River mining areas. Due to the stable operation of the Las Bambas mining area so far this year, the company has raised its annual copper production guidance for that mine to 400,000 metric tons. The bank believes that this production level can be maintained in the next two years.
