On October 9th, the Office of the National Medical Security Administration and the Comprehensive Department of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine issued a notice on carrying out pilot projects for payment by disease for advantageous Chinese medicine diseases. The notice mentioned that under the unified guidance of the state, around 15 provinces or prefecture-level cities will be selected to carry out pilot projects for payment by disease for advantageous Chinese medicine diseases. Over the course of 2-3 years, efforts will be made to accumulate a batch of experience in reforming the payment methods of traditional Chinese medicine medical insurance, and gradually promote it nationwide.
