Swiss gold exports rose in September to their highest level since February 2025, with exports to the United Kingdom hitting a single-month high not seen since at least 2012. Increased capital inflows into the UK gold market became an important factor driving the growth in Swiss gold exports. Swiss customs data showed that in September, Swiss gold exports rose 6% month-on-month to 165.2 tons; of which exports to the United Kingdom rose 24% month-on-month to 126.2 tons.
