Zhitong Finance APP has learned that UK consumer confidence plummeted in October, with soaring fuel prices making households keenly feel the cost-of-living impact of the Middle East conflict. GfK said its consumer confidence index fell to -24, down 11 percentage points from September. Excluding the pandemic period, this is the largest decline since the UK voted to leave the EU in 2016.
