Li Qiang sends congratulatory message to Canadian Prime Minister Carney.

On May 13th, Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council called Justin Trudeau to congratulate him on his appointment as Prime Minister of Canada. Li Keqiang stated that China attaches great importance to the development of Sino-Canadian relations. He expressed his willingness to work together with Prime Minister Trudeau to seize the opportunity of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Canada and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of a strategic partnership to promote Sino-Canadian relations in the right direction of improvement, on the basis of equality and mutual respect, and to better benefit the two countries and their peoples.
