The Nasdaq 100 index closed up 1.5% on a preliminary basis, with components Grail up 20.8%, Palantir up 8.3%, AppLovin up 6.4%, Nvidia up 5.7% ranking fourth, Micron Technology and Tesla up 5%, AMD up 4%, Johnson & Johnson down 1.5%, Bristol-Myers Squibb and AstraZeneca ADR down 1.6%, and Gilead Sciences down 2.2%. The US tech giant index rose 2.1%, and the "Trump Tariff Loser Index" rose 1.3%.
