Xi Jinping signs Presidential Decrees No. 70 to No. 73

On March 12, President Xi Jinping signed Presidential Decrees No. 70, No. 71, No. 72, and No. 73. Presidential Decree No. 70 stated that the "Ecological Environment Code of the People's Republic of China" was passed by the Fourth Session of the Fourteenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on March 12, 2026, and will be implemented from August 15, 2026. Presidential Decree No. 71 stated that the "Law on the Promotion of Ethnic Unity and Progress in the People's Republic of China" was passed by the Fourth Session of the Fourteenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on March 12, 2026, and will be implemented from July 1, 2026. Presidential Decree No. 72 stated that the "National Development Planning Law of the People's Republic of China" was passed by the Fourth Session of the Fourteenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on March 12, 2026, and will be implemented from the date of announcement. Presidential Decree No. 73 stated that, in accordance with the decision on the approval of the report on the work of legal review and the handling of relevant laws and decisions of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the Fourteenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China passed at the Fourth Session of the Fourteenth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on March 12, 2026, the "Law on the All-round Ownership of Industrial Enterprises of the People's Republic of China" is abolished and now announced.
