The Trump Administration lowered the forecast for US soybean exports.
The US Department of Agriculture predicts that the export volume for the market year 2025/26 will be 1.635 billion bushels, which is a decrease of 50 million bushels from its September forecast and a 13% decrease from the previous year. The USDA also released a significant amount of daily export sales data that occurred during the US government shutdown period, showing that from October 2 to November 12, a total of 1.348 million tons of US soybeans were sold. The USDA acknowledges that due to a sharp increase in US prices in mid-October, cheaper supply from South America has weakened demand for US soybeans.
