Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce responds to questions from reporters regarding Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs Karemans' statement on ASML semiconductor issue.
According to the Securities Times APP, on November 14th, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce responded to questions from journalists regarding the issue of ASML semiconductor raised by Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs Kailemans. The spokesperson stated that the Chinese side has taken note of the recent remarks made by Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs Kailemans in an interview with the media, and expressed extreme disappointment and strong dissatisfaction with the confusion of right and wrong, black and white reversal, and unilateral actions in his remarks. The Chinese side's position and attitude have always been consistent. China has agreed to the Dutch side's sending of representatives to China for consultations and is willing to work with the Dutch side to quickly resolve the current crisis from the perspective of maintaining the security and stability of the global semiconductor supply chain. However, it must be emphasized that we hope the Dutch side will come with constructive proposals, instead of going through the motions or rehashing old tunes; come to solve problems, not create new ones and conflicts. We hope the Dutch side will demonstrate a sincere willingness to cooperate with the Chinese side and promptly propose substantive, constructive solutions to the problem.
