Dandong strawberries are a hit in Indonesia.

Yesterday, the 9th China-ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Animal and Plant Quarantine and Food Safety Cooperation was held in Chongqing, deepening cooperation in the agricultural and food products sector, injecting new vitality into bilateral trade. During the meeting, China and several ASEAN countries signed multiple quarantine cooperation documents, with products like Laotian durian expected to enter the domestic consumer market. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment of Laos, Ji Gao Xin Nang, stated: "We have three varieties of durian, Black Thorn, Musang King, and Golden Pillow, and we plan to expand planting areas in the future." As the import volume of fruits in ASEAN continues to grow, Chinese specialty temperate fruits are also popular among consumers in ASEAN countries. Data shows that from 2017 to 2025, China has been Indonesia's largest supplier of imported vegetables and fruits. Currently, it is the strawberry picking season in Dan Dong, Indonesia's favorite, and in a few days, the first batch of strawberries from this season will be exported.
