JD and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology establish joint laboratory.

On November 14th, JD Group and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology officially announced the establishment of a joint laboratory in Hong Kong. The "HKUST-JD Group Joint Laboratory" is jointly responsible by the HKUST Zheng Jiachun Robotics Institute, JD Exploration Research Institute, and JD Logistics. The two parties will focus on intelligent supply chains and embodied intelligent technology, with a focus on research and development in logistics, healthcare, retail, and industrial sectors. The laboratory will conduct cross-industry integration innovation, with key areas including tumor prediction and assisted diagnosis in the healthcare field, and intelligent e-commerce scenario construction in the retail sector. Additionally, by utilizing technologies such as multimodal large models and edge computing optimization algorithms, the laboratory will develop replicable industry smart solutions.
