Ultrasonic removal of neurotoxic fragments in the brains of stroke mice.
According to the latest issue of "Nature Biotechnology," low-intensity ultrasound therapy can clear neurotoxic fragments from the brains of hemorrhagic stroke mice. If human clinical trials can produce similar positive results, this method may provide a safe and simple way to treat hemorrhagic strokes, and may even help in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other traumatic brain injuries.
