These "small giants" enterprises account for 3.5% of the total number of small and medium-sized industrial enterprises in the country and contribute 9.6% of the operating income and 13.7% of the profits. This was learned by reporters at the 2025 specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprise development conference held in Chongqing on November 12. Minister of Industry and Information Technology Li Lecheng said that China's small and medium-sized enterprises have continuously achieved new results in high-quality development, their scale and strength have continued to grow, and their development quality and effectiveness have steadily improved, taking solid steps in the development of specialization and innovation. Over 600,000 technology and innovation-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises have been cultivated, with over 140,000 specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.
