Yiwei Li Energy, Liu Jincheng: The total life cycle cost of ternary batteries may be lower than that of lithium iron phosphate batteries.

Chairman Liu Jincheng of EVE Energy pointed out at the 2025 World Power Battery Conference that the current focus of research on power batteries should be on the value of the entire life cycle. Liu Jincheng stated that due to the superior recycling ability of all materials in ternary batteries compared to phosphate iron lithium batteries, if the recycling value of nickel, cobalt, and lithium in ternary batteries is considered, the cost of ternary batteries may be lower than that of phosphate iron lithium batteries throughout the battery's life cycle.
