Beijing plans to include the cost of embryo freezing and preservation in medical insurance.
At the social livelihood special session of the "14th Five-Year Plan" high-quality conclusion series theme press conference held on November 10th, Yan Bing, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Medical Security Bureau, stated that they will study further increasing the reimbursement level of prenatal examination fees for maternity insurance based on the income and expenditure situation of the fund; continuously reduce the burden of family maternity medical expenses. They plan to include expenses such as embryo freezing and preservation in the medical insurance reimbursement system, helping more families achieve their fertility wishes; promote the "direct to individual" mode of maternity allowance through more solid measures, enhancing the convenience and accuracy of maternity security services.
