The cross-border highway bus service of the Western Land and Sea New Channel saw a 4.5-fold year-on-year increase in merchandise value in the first 10 months of this year.
On November 12, reporters learned from the 2025 China-ASEAN Logistics Industry Cooperation Conference that from January to October this year, the cross-border road transport volume of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor exceeded 11,000 trips, with a value of over 15 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 2 times and 4.5 times respectively, significantly improving the efficiency of the corridor. As one of the three main transport modes of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, cross-border road transport has accumulated about 35,000 trips and a total value of about 30 billion yuan since it started operating in 2016. Currently, there are 12 mainline transportation routes for cross-border road transport, covering the entire Indochina Peninsula and expanding to some countries in Central Asia and South Asia, forming an external transportation system of "3 directions, 12 lines, 25 ports, and 39 overseas distribution centers".
