On November 1st local time, Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng attended the general policy debate of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and delivered a speech as a representative of China. Huai Jinpeng put forward three opinions based on China's practice and future development. Firstly, facing the era of intelligence, we should work together to promote educational reform, strengthen the reconstruction of the quality structure of learners, and promote a comprehensive development of the education ecosystem. China is willing to continue to cooperate with UNESCO to hold conferences on artificial intelligence and education, and promote the global digitization and intelligence transformation of education. Secondly, facing the continuous prosperity of the economy, we should work together to explore policy exchange mechanisms for the high-quality development of education and society, and cooperative development. China is willing to share experience and platforms with other countries to discuss effective ways to integrate education and the economy. Thirdly, facing the global governance transformation, we should work together to promote a more fair and inclusive international education cooperation community. China insists on expanding South-South cooperation and is willing to cooperate with UNESCO to hold a World Conference on Educational Development to promote educational reform.
