HKEX launches AI and semiconductor index

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on October 23, HKEX announced the launch of the HKEX AI Index and the HKEX Semiconductor Index. The two newly launched indices further expand the series of indices independently compiled by HKEX and provide benchmarks for investors to capture the opportunities brought by the two major technology themes of artificial intelligence and semiconductors. HKEX also announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with China Southern Fund Management Co., Ltd. (China Southern Fund) to launch an exchange-traded fund (ETF) in mainland China that tracks the HKEX AI Index.
