Li Xiang stated that the industry's development requires both specialized suppliers with a deep understanding of products and OEMs that conduct in-depth research on core technologies; collaborative innovation between the two sides ultimately benefits users. Li Auto decided in 2020 to develop batteries in-house, hoping to start from whole vehicles and user needs and work with specialized partners to jointly promote technological progress.
