The industrial producer purchase prices increased by 6.4% year-on-year but decreased by 0.2% month-on-month. In the first half of the year, industrial producer ex-factory prices increased by 1.5% compared to the same period last year, while industrial producer purchase prices increased by 2.4%.
I. Changes in industrial producer prices year-on-year
In June, among the industrial producer ex-factory prices, the prices of production materials increased by 5.5% year-on-year, contributing to an approximately 4.28 percentage point increase in the overall level of industrial producer ex-factory prices. Among them, the prices of the extraction industry increased by 16.5%, raw material industry prices increased by 8.6%, and processing industry prices increased by 3.0%. The prices of living materials decreased by 0.9%, contributing to a decrease of approximately 0.20 percentage points in the overall level of industrial producer ex-factory prices. Among them, food prices decreased by 2.1%, clothing and general daily goods prices both decreased by 1.0%, while durable consumer goods prices increased by 0.1%.
In the industrial producer purchase prices, the prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wires increased by 21.6%, fuel and power prices increased by 11.8%, chemical raw material prices increased by 11.5%, textile raw material prices increased by 3.3%, and black metal material prices increased by 1.3%; while the prices of building materials and non-metallic materials decreased by 4.8%, and agricultural and sideline product prices decreased by 1.3%.
II. Changes in industrial producer prices month-on-month
In June, among the industrial producer ex-factory prices, the prices of production materials decreased by 0.3% compared to the previous month, contributing to a decrease of approximately 0.25 percentage points in the overall level of industrial producer ex-factory prices. Among them, the prices of the extraction industry decreased by 0.9%, raw material industry prices decreased by 1.2%, and processing industry prices increased by 0.2%. The prices of living materials decreased by 0.3%, contributing to a decrease of approximately 0.06 percentage points in the overall level of industrial producer ex-factory prices. Among them, food prices decreased by 0.8%, clothing and durable consumer goods prices remained stable, and general daily goods prices decreased by 0.1%.
In the industrial producer purchase prices, the prices of chemical raw materials decreased by 1.3%, fuel and power prices decreased by 0.5%, building materials and non-metallic materials prices decreased by 0.4%, and agricultural and sideline product prices decreased by 0.3%; while the prices of textile raw materials increased by 0.7%, and the prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wires increased by 0.1%; and the prices of black metal materials remained stable.
