HKEX's daily trading volume of US dollar gold futures reached a record high of 6676 contracts.
On July 6, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange's daytime trading session for US dollar gold futures recorded a total of 6676 contract trades, setting a new record high and surpassing the previous record of 3039 contract trades set on November 7, 2022.
According to HKEX news, on July 6th, a total of 6676 contracts were traded during the daytime trading session of HKEX US Dollar Gold Futures, setting a new record high and surpassing the previous record of 3039 contracts set on November 7th, 2022. The bid-ask spread for active month contracts narrowed to one to two ticks, with August contracts as low as $0.01 (one tick) and December contracts as low as two ticks.
HKEX continues to introduce optimization measures for US Dollar Gold Futures contracts, attracting banks, securities firms, high-frequency trading firms, traders, gold producers, and consumer enterprises to actively participate in the market. This is an important step for HKEX to enhance its gold product system and deepen its strategy of diversifying the asset ecosystem, further supporting Hong Kong's development as a leading international gold trading and storage center.
